레지오 마리애(Legio Mariae)는 가톨릭 교회가 공인한 단체로서, 모든 은총의 중재자이시며 원죄없이 잉태되신 성모님의 강력한 지휘 아래, 세속과 그 악의 세력에 맞서는 교회의 싸움에 참가하기 위해 설립된 군대이다. 

레지오 마리애의 목적은 단원들의 성화를 통하여 하느님의 영광을 드러내는데 있으며, 해당 교구장과 본당 주임 사제의 지도에 따라, 레지오 단원들에게 알맞고 교회복지에 유익하다고 판단되는 모든 형태의 사회봉사와 가톨릭 활동을 전개한다.

쁘레시디움(Praesidium)은 레지오 마리애의 기본조직으로 매주 회합을 가진다. 평화의 모후 한인 천주교회에는 현재 13개 쁘레시디움에서 120명 정도의 행동 단원이 있으며, 그외에 많은 협조단원들이 있다. 구성으로는 9개의 여성 쁘레시디움, 2개의 혼성 쁘레시움, 1개의 남성 쁘레시디움, 그리고 1개의 영어 쁘레시디움이 있다.13개 쁘레시디움은 매월 활동보고와 매년 사업보고를 하며 활동경험을 나누고 새로운 사업구상을 하는 등 단원들의 영신적생활을 확장할 수 있는 일에 노력하고 있다.

The Legio Mariae is an organization recognized by the Catholic Church, an army established to participate in the Church's battle against the world and its evil forces, under the powerful command of the Immaculate Conception, Mediatrix of all graces. 

The purpose of the Legionaries of Mary is to reveal the glory of God through the sanctification of its members and, under the guidance of their respective diocesan and parish priests, to engage in all forms of social service and Catholic activities deemed appropriate for the Legionaries and beneficial to the welfare of the Church.

The Praesidium is the basic organization of the Legio Mariae and meets weekly. At Our Lady of Peace Korean Catholic Church, there are currently about 120 action members in 13 praesidiums, with many more supporting members. There are nine women's expressiums, two mixed expressiums, one men's expressium, and one English expressium(Stella Maris).The 13 expressiums meet monthly for activity reports and annually for business reports, sharing experiences and working on new projects to expand the spiritual and spiritual life of the members.
